Sustainability and quality from Lake BielThe Andrey winery is located in the centre of the Schafis wine-growing region on Lake Biel and is run as a family business. For generations, the family has focussed on a close connection to nature - with the aim of producing authentic, sustainable wines that are a true reflection of the terroir of the southern foot of the Jura.
ENGAGEMENT.
From the region: The winery is located directly on Lake Biel in Schafis. The grapes are grown, harvested and processed on site - by hand and with a strong connection to the local landscape and tradition.
Organic viticulture: The vines are cultivated without chemical sprays - in the spirit of a healthy ecosystem.
Promotion of biodiversity: The natural balance is promoted through the targeted planting of native shrubs, the creation of stone piles and the placement of bee hotels.
100 % vegan: All wines from the Andrey winery are produced without animal products - gelatine or other animal additives are also completely avoided during the clarification process.
Reuse of empty glass: All bottles are taken back, washed and reused, which significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.
Manual labour & minimalism in viticulture: Instead of using large machines, the winery relies on traditional manual labour to care for the vines and minimise the impact on the soil.
