SUSTAINABILITY.

Sustainability is not a buzzword for us, but the starting point for almost everything we do. Our BAR. is based on a mobile infrastructure, almost exclusively second-hand. We utilise green electricity, rely on recycled materials, use wood from the region and green our roof.

OFFER.

Our Products we choose carefully. Many of them come from small producers from the region or/and are produced bioolgically and fairly traded. We know many producers personally - and want to be transparent about why we have chosen them. We are particularly proud of our large selection of low-sugar lemonades, cold teas, kombuchas and non-alcoholic drinks, which are consciously chosen alternatives to the traditional range. We also set an example when it comes to drinking water: Mineral and tap water is available free of charge - for everyone, as a matter of course.

FINANCING.

The BAR. has been characterised by numerous Mini-loans from supporters from the neighbourhood and our rather modest private savings - instead of a traditional bank loan. This model of solidarity enables participation and shows that Sustainability also works economically when many people contribute. MERCI!

CO-OPERATION.

Where possible, we create jobs for people who are structurally disadvantaged or who wish to re-enter the labour market. To this end, we work, for example, with the Diaconis Foundation and offer corresponding jobs.

TOGETHER.

We are a family-friendly business - not only for our guests, but also for our team. We offer Low workloadsfree choice of shift and work with flexible applications. Our regular wages are transparent and standardised. We work as a team - with flat hierarchies, short distances and space for own ideas. Our employees are invited to play an active role in shaping the company.

SPACE.

BAR. is also a public space design project. We are revitalising Expo Platz, making it accessible and lively and creating a place for Exchange, Encounter and being together. We are open for Partnerships, Co-operations and local initiativeswho want to work for a sustainable city. Get in touch!

RESPONSIBILITY.

If it is financially feasible, we support projects that share our values and also help personally when someone is in need. For us, social responsibility is part of everyday life - not as an exception, but as an attitude.
