Traditional art of distilling since 1918Humbel Spezialitätenbrennerei AG is located in Stetten in the canton of Aargau and is now in its third generation of management. The company has been producing a variety of classic and innovative fruit distillates since 1918. With the introduction of single-variety cherry brandies and the Slow Food Presidi Brenzer Kirsch, Humbel has made a name for itself and contributes significantly to the preservation of old cherry varieties and the Swiss fruit brandy culture.
ENGAGEMENT.
Organic certification: Humbel has been producing organic fruit brandies and importing organic spirits since 1995, using only Swiss organic fruit.
Promotion of biodiversity: By working with organisations such as ProSpecieRara and Hochstamm Suisse, Humbel is committed to preserving old fruit varieties and promoting biodiversity.
Renunciation of genetic engineering: The distillery completely avoids the use of genetically modified products in order to guarantee the naturalness of its distillates.
Use of green electricity: Humbel purchases green electricity from Aargauer Elektrizitätswerke for its production in order to minimise its ecological footprint.
Fair Trade certification: Some products, such as the Ron de Marinero, are certified in accordance with Max Havelaar Fairtrade guidelines, which emphasises the company's commitment to fair trade.
